Meet the Montmorency Tart Cherry, also known as sour cherry. This cherry from the prunus cerasus tree is characterized by its bright red color and offers interesting advantages over its sweeter alternative.
Full of vitamins & antioxidants
Tart Cherries are especially rich in vitamin C and vitamin A. Of the latter, the sour cherry contains even 5 times as much as the sweet cherry. In addition, Tart Cherries are rich in the antioxidant type flavonoids, which can be divided into anthocyanins and anthoxanthins. The anthocyanins in particular are thought to contribute strongly to the effects of Tart Cherries and intensive research has been done on this for years among both top athletes and recreational athletes.
Use and dosage
Tart Cherry contains 650 milligrams of Montmorency Cherry Extract per serving. Take 1 to 3 doses per day.
